April 30, 2010 Maple Valley to Spokane, WA

It's been a long winter, so we were thankful for the opportunities between downpours and hailstorms to get some photos of our fellow travelers along I-90.

Not sure if this was "Peace" or "May the Force Be With You"

Your Star Wars pillow...never leave home without it!

Drivers Ed: Freeway Driving. I'm sure that with all of our speeding up to pace cars, this dad was telling his daughter what NOT to do when driving on a freeway!

What a way to ruin an afternoon.

I'm sure that's EXACTLY what this poor guy was thinking.

Cowgirl Up - at least that's what the window sticker on her truck said.

Happy to see us, no doubt! Although she looks like she could be muttering something derogatory to herself...

That smile may have been frozen on her lips. She was wrapped in a blanket with the sunroof open, so that she could hang onto the rope keeping the kayaks on her roof.

Can't touch this. What is MC Hammer doing on I-90?

Peek a Boo - EYE see you!

This guy was quite Focused!

Testing to see if his window was down?

I don't watch The Office (who has time?), but if I did - I would swear this guy was Rainn Wilson.

Is this Mork? Na-Nu Na-Nu mister!

Road trip is a perfect time for a mother-daughter chat. Captive audience, teenage attitude is optional.

Maybe she's annoyed because everytime she puts on her bikini top - the rain starts to fall.

If you want to keep your truck looking brand new, you should make sure to look forward!

Okay - these guys look like they are straight out of Terminator!

She really was waving, not just trying to block our shot!

At least it was 2 fingers, and not just one!

These two ladies (from Tracy's Scrappin' Barn) gave us the best laugh that we have had since starting this project. We took photos of them, then they turned around and did the same to us! Maybe we've started something!

If you are in the area, please stop by Tracy's Scrappin Barn in Garfield - tell her we say hello!

C'mon are the humongous shades really necessary - I mean, half the time it was raining or hailing, and the other half was overcast.

Breaker Breaker 1-9er - we got some weirdos with a camera comin' at us.

This guy was so happy, he was using 2 hands to wave at us!
Looking forward to the next Road Trip!

May 8, 2009 - I-90 Seattle to Spokane (again)

Another weekend, another road trip.

Heading back to Spokane for Mother's Day weekend. This afternoon, we had quite a few people participate in our little game. As always, there were a few that refused to look over at our sign and camera, and a few that, even after a look, remain confused. Hopefully our antics still brought a smile to their faces (even if we couldn't capture it).

Mini-van mama who refused to look.

Be careful where you wave that hand!

We got "the look" from this one, no finger, just "the look".

Go MEADOWDALE Girl's Basketball! Best in the West, according to the sign.

Doubtful that it's really warm enough for a tank.

Effen crane.

No distracting this driver!

He appeared to be a little perplexed.

Singing along with the tunes.

They made sure that they also passed us, so that the passenger could get her photo taken, too!

We dubbed this one "lil red". They didn't smile.

Quack Quack

Tinted windows, the cops will NEVER see you on your cell phone...

Somewhere 6 dwarves are looking for their friend Grumpy.

Quick - wave now while mom is not looking!

Can you spell G-R-O-U-C-H-Y!

Waving but not looking...
Looking but not waving...

Yeah! We have looking, waving AND smiling!

Peace Out Bro!

She totally cracked up! Then chased us down to laugh some more.

Really?! Who came up with that name ?!

Maybe they heard about us and the pre-teens in the back didn't want to get their pictures taken... Dad was happy to wave though!

Not sure if he was waving, or blocking the shot.

"You are not going to believe what I see" he's saying to the guy on the other end of that phone.

Nothing like the feel of the wind blowing through your fur.
Thanks for coming along for the ride with us. See you next trip!
